1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HomeProHub ("we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the homeprohub.ca website and all associated services. By using this platform in any capacity — as a visitor, homeowner, or contractor — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
HomeProHub is an online lead generation and referral marketplace that connects Ontario homeowners seeking home improvement services with independent local contractors and tradespeople.
HomeProHub is a referral intermediary only. We are not a contractor, do not employ tradespeople, do not perform any work, and are not a party to any agreement between a homeowner and a contractor. We do not supervise, guarantee, or warrant the quality of any work performed through connections made on our platform.
3. Homeowner Terms
The following terms apply to homeowners submitting quote requests through HomeProHub:
- Free to use: Submitting a quote request on HomeProHub is completely free for homeowners. There are no membership fees, subscription charges, or hidden costs.
- Eligibility: You must be the property owner or an authorised agent of the property owner with authority to commission work on the property. By submitting a request, you represent that this is the case.
- Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information in your quote request. Submitting false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in removal from the platform.
- No guarantee of quotes: HomeProHub does not guarantee that you will receive quotes from any contractor. Lead matching depends on contractor availability, service area, and trade category.
- Contractor independence: All contractors connected through HomeProHub are independent third parties. HomeProHub is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, timeliness, or outcome of any work performed. Any contract for services is solely between you and the contractor.
- Due diligence: You are encouraged to independently verify contractor credentials, request proof of liability insurance and WSIB coverage, and obtain a written contract before work begins.
4. Contractor Terms
The following terms apply to contractors who register with and use HomeProHub to receive leads:
- Licensing and insurance: You must hold all valid licences, permits, registrations, and insurance required under Ontario law for the trades and services you offer. HomeProHub may request proof of credentials at any time and may suspend accounts where credentials cannot be verified.
- Lead fees: Contractors are charged a flat fee of $35 CAD per lead received. Leads are deducted from your pre-paid credit balance. You must maintain a positive credit balance to continue receiving leads.
- No refunds on contacted leads: Lead fees are non-refundable once a lead has been delivered and the homeowner's contact information has been shared with you. It is your responsibility to follow up professionally.
- No circumvention: You agree not to contact homeowners through channels outside the HomeProHub platform for the purpose of avoiding lead fees. Any attempt to circumvent lead fees — including soliciting homeowners who were introduced through HomeProHub via social media, door-knocking, or third-party referrals — constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
- Professional conduct: You agree to communicate professionally with homeowners, honour quoted prices to the extent possible, and provide services to a reasonable standard of quality.
- Account suspension: HomeProHub reserves the right to suspend or terminate any contractor account that receives verified complaints from homeowners, engages in fraud, misrepresents credentials, or violates any provision of these Terms.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use HomeProHub for any of the following purposes:
- Submitting fake, duplicate, or fraudulent quote requests or contractor registrations
- Spamming homeowners or contractors with unsolicited communications
- Scraping, crawling, or systematically extracting data from the website without prior written consent
- Impersonating any person, business, or entity
- Using the platform to conduct any unlawful activity under Ontario or Canadian law
- Interfering with or disrupting the platform's infrastructure, servers, or security systems
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the platform or user accounts
- Re-selling or redistributing leads purchased through HomeProHub to third parties
Violation of any prohibition above may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, legal action.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on homeprohub.ca — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, page designs, code, and data structures — is the exclusive property of HomeProHub and is protected by Canadian copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any HomeProHub content without our express prior written consent. Limited use for personal, non-commercial reference is permitted provided attribution is given.
7. Limitation of Liability
HomeProHub operates as a referral intermediary only. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Ontario and Canadian law, HomeProHub, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Any damages, injuries, losses, or disputes arising from work performed by contractors connected through our platform
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use this website
- Any contractor failing to honour a quote, contract, or commitment
- Any disputes between homeowners and contractors regarding payment, quality, safety, or timelines
- Any inaccuracy in contractor credentials, reviews, or profile information
Our total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid to HomeProHub, if any, in the 30 days preceding the claim. HomeProHub's service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranty, express or implied.
8. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of HomeProHub shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
Disputes between homeowners and contractors are entirely the responsibility of the parties involved. HomeProHub is not a mediator, arbitrator, or party to such disputes and has no obligation to intervene.

9. Account Termination
HomeProHub reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any user account — homeowner or contractor — at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of any provision of these Terms
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive behaviour
- Verified complaints from other users
- Extended inactivity
- Requests by law enforcement or regulatory authorities
Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Any unused credit balance in a terminated contractor account is non-refundable where termination is due to a Terms violation.
10. Changes to These Terms
HomeProHub may revise these Terms of Service at any time. When material changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
Continued use of the platform following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to a change, you must stop using HomeProHub.
